A little about me

I’m Kaylan

I was born in Kansas but raised in Colorado. Creativity has always been a part of my life. I’ve come to realize that some of our best moments in life pass with the blink of an eye. I choose to capture these moments, not only for myself but for those who also want to keep those cherished memories close. So… Yeah… I’m a photographer.

Relationship with nature

I became one to appreciate nature more in my early twenties. Constantly being surrounded by technology during that time in my life. I found that being within nature allowed me to take the back seat on life and just live in the moment for the time being. Fishing became one of my many loves, this then turned into capturing the landscapes and the small beautiful details nature brings us. I try my best to capture all those small details from behind the camera.

Photography

If nature is my first true love, photography became my second one. It started with just wanting to take pictures of sunsets, friends while camping, and mountains, but I was instantly drawn to it.

Interesting Fact

Not only am I a photographer, I am also a certified hiking and camping guide in the state of Montana! It seemed like the perfect way to channel my hobby and have more opportunities to photograph nature.
